We announce the availability of a firmware upgrade patch for Play@TV NMP-4000 Ver. 1.7 Patch (16 Jan 2004).
After downloading, it is recommended that you read following information first before using the program.
This patch file is for only Play@TV NMP-4000. In case of updating this patch to NMP-1000/TGNMP-3000(in Korea) or PC-MP1000(in Japan), it cause critical damage damage to Play@TV. You are supposed to check your model name first.
[Improvements]
Patch for MPEG2 direct transmission problem.
This patch fix the problem occurred when user use MPEG2 direct transmission
Improved extraction of video thumbnails
Faster thumbnail extraction from PVR and ETC video files.
Improved AV Sync
Bug fixes of AV sync difference which is seen in rare occasions.
Improved Video CD playing
Bug fixes in playing some video CDs in direct transfer mode.

* We highly recommend that User of Play@TV-NMP4000 update with this patch.
Please right-click the Play@TV icon in the System Tray of your PC, and select [Configuration]. Click [Misc] tab, and check [Version]. If server version is earlier than 1.7.8(Build 77), user have to upgrade with this patch.

[Install Patch Program]
1) Download the patch on this page to your PC.
2) Before executing the program, verify that your Play@TV and PC are connected after turning on Play@TV.
3) This patch program is an auto-run program. It will run automatically after unzipping.

* The patch program will not run in the following cases and an error massage will be displayed on the screen instead.
- If Play@TV is not installed.
- If the installed Play@TV is not the correct version.

[Firmware Upgrade]
1) The following massage will be displayed when the patch is installed completely. After clicking the [OK] button and pressing the power button of the remote controller to turn off Play@TV, turn on Play@TV again.

2) If the Play@TV works again, save the new version of the firmware in flash memory after downloading it from your PC.
It will take about 1 minute to upgrade the firmware. Don't turn off Play@TV during the upgrade. Once the upgrade is completed, Play@TV automatically works again.
