Check the CPU usage of your PC.
The frame skips because of the CPU's low performance. If you want to check the CPU performance, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc in order to open the Windows Task manager and check the CPU usage graph. If you see the CPU usage often reaching 100%, it means that the CPU lacks performance.
Check if the CPU of your PC can play the video file.
1. Search for the video file in your PC and right-click to see [Properties].
2. Select the [Summary] tab and then check the values of 'Video compression', 'Width', 'Height' and 'Frame rate'.

3. Right-click on the My Computer icon on the desktop and select [Properties]. You will see the System Properties window. Check your PC's performance under 'Computer' in the [General] tab.
4. Refer to the following table to see if the CPU performance of your PC can play the video file.
- MPEG1 Video CD, MPEG2 files in Direct transmit mode: Pentium III 800MHz or higher
- MPEG1, MPEG2 transcoding, AVI, WMV, ASF files up to 640x352 24fps: Pentium 4 1.4GHz or higher
- MPEG1, MPEG2 transcoding,AVI, WMV, ASF files up to 720x480 30fps: Pentium 4 2GHz or higher
Check if a screen saver is active in your PC.
This problem occurs when your PC's screen saver is set to active. When the screen saver is active, Play@TV NMP4000 may not work properly. When using Play@TV NMP4000, you should disable the screen saver. You can disable it by following these directions.
Right-click on the desktop in order to see the display properties. Under the [Screen Saver] tab, set the screen saver to '[None]'.

Check if the energy-saving feature is active in your PC.
This problem occurs when the energy-saving feature of your PC is set to active. If you set it to save energy, Play@TV NMP4000 may not work properly. When using Play@TV NMP4000, you should disable this feature. You can disable it by following these directions.
1. Right-click on the desktop to see the display properties.
2. Under the [Screen Saver] tab, click on the [Powerˇ¦] button in order to see Power Options Properties.

3. Set all the values below 'Settings for Home/Office Desk power schme' to 'Never'.
Check if programs other than the Play@TV NMP4000 server program are running in your PC.
If you run other programs such as Internet while using Play@TV NMP4000, it cannot properly transmit the data due to system overload. Remember that running other programs with Play@TV NMP4000 may cause errors and lagging.
