Check the format of the file.
Check if Play@TV NMP4000 supports the file format. The following are the file formats supported by Play@TV NMP4000.
- Music: MP3, WMA, WAV
- Video: MPEG1, MPEG2, DivX, Xvid, ASF, WMV
- Photo: JPEG, BMP
Check if the sound card is properly installed in your PC.
1. Select [Start]->[My Computer] and right-click to select [Properties]. When you see the 'System Properties' window, click on the [Hardware] tab and click on the [Device Manager] button.

2. In the 'Device Manager' window, check 'Sound, video and game controllers'. If the icon has a mark, it means that the device driver is not installed properly. Download and install the driver divice for the sound card.
When you see a mark, it means that it is not in use. Change the fucntion to work properly.

Check the version of DirectX.
1. Select [Start]->[Run] and enter Dxdiag. Press [OK].
2. You will be able to see the version of DirectX under the [System] tab.

3. If the version is below 8.1, you need to upgrade it. In order to upgrade, visit (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/) and download the program.
Check if the file plays on Windows Media Player.
Play@TV NMP4000 plays media files using the same methods as Windows Media Player. Therefore, if the media file does not play on Windows Media Player, it will not play on Play@TV NMP4000 in most cases. Check first if the media file plays on Windows Media Player.
Reinstall Codec.
If it does not play on Windows Media Player, it may be a Codec problem. Reinstall the Codec or try reconfiguring it. For more information on the optimized Codec of Media@ TV, please visit our site and download the program.
If it still does not play after installing the Codec, the media file may be damaged or it may not be a media file.
